The Impressa F9 from Jura-Capresso combines fine-coffee know-how with touch-screen technology, an Aluframe structure, and Internet connectivity. Like Jura-Capresso's other top-of-the-line models, the Impressa F9 is fully automatic. It grinds, tamps, brews, and steams with the touch of a few icons on its control panel. Designed with both exacting standards and user preference in mind, the machine is pre-programmed at the factory for excellent results. It can also be tailored to your specific tastes for coffee strength, water amount, temperature, and steam quantity. You can also customize the separate hot water function for bespoke cafe americanos. Purchase Jura-Capresso's connectivity kit separately and you can even store individual coffee-drinkers' preferences in the F9's electronics.

Built for power, the F9 uses a 15-bar pump and a single 1450-watt ThermoBlock heating unit lined in stainless steel for a flavor-neutral, corrosion-resistant structure. The six-stage conical grinder, also made from stainless steel, delivers consistent results, while the patented brewing unit creates the ideal pressure conditions for perfecting crema. A pre-brew system moistens and conditions grounds for maximum aroma and flavor. The F9 has several self-maintenance features, including automatic rinsing, cleaning, and de-calcifying functions. Other handy extras include an illuminated cup area, adjustable coffee spout, and multi-language display. The water tank holds 64 ounces, while the bean tank stores 7 ounces. Designed for the countertop, the machine measures 12-1/2 by 11 by 16 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty. --Emily Bedard

Editor's note: This is a remanufactured small appliance. Remanufactured generally means that the appliance has been returned to the manufacturer, who returns the appliance to like-new condition. Some appliances may contain cosmetic blemishes. Factory-Reconditioned with all new equipment and a 1-year Limited Warranty. If ever there was one, this is it: a state-of-the-art coffee center for the hi-tech kitchen or executive office. Capresso's Impressa F9 makes quite the impression even before you know what all it is capable of - a striking, 3-mm. thick chrome alloy front, a chrome-plated die cast coffee spout, a stainless steel grid and an illuminated brewing area that lights up then turns itself off after one minute if not in use. The unit can be programmed into seven languages, giving you explicit instructions: "Coffee Ready", "Fill Water", "Clean Unit" and so on. The Impressa even knows that tastes are as individual as you are. Therefore, you're able to personalize each cup from five different cup sizes in two aroma and three strength settings. All cup sizes are programmable from 1-oz. to 8-oz. with a double-cup button that produces a maximum of 16-oz. of coffee at a time; a height-adjustable coffee spout lets you brew into small espresso cups or even a large, 12-oz. mug with no spills. Housed in the unit is a 8-oz. bean container that grinds up to 30 portions of coffee before it ever needs refilling. A solid steel conical burr grinder comes with six settings, allowing you to adjust the fineness for all kinds of beans from light to dark roasts. For those who prefer pre-ground coffee, a separate funnel can be used for decaf or flavored coffee.
